On behalf of RERA, we are pleased to announce a call for papers for a special issue of the International Journal of Chinese Education, titled “The Doctorate In Between: Bridging Academic Rigor and Industry Relevance” in collaboration with HSE University and Tsinghua University. This special issue will explore innovative hybrid doctoral models that combine academic rigor with real-world applicability. We invite empirical research, comparative case studies, and evidence-based analyses on topics such as program design, stakeholder collaboration, and impact evaluation. We encourage submissions that reflect diverse national and institutional contexts, offering insights into sustainable alternatives to traditional PhD frameworks.
