[RERA] XVII International Conference on Higher Education (ICHE 2026) on 28-30 October, Moscow

October 28 - October 30

The Russian Educational Research Association (RERA) is delighted  to invite WERA colleagues to participate in the XVII International Conference on Higher Education (ICHE), which will take place on October 28–30, 2026 at HSE University in Moscow.

This year’s theme — “The (Non-)Homogeneous Landscape of Higher Education: Institutions, Trajectories, Effects” — focuses on the growing diversity of higher education systems worldwide and its implications for inequality, institutional development, and student trajectories.

The Conference aims to bring together scholars and practitioners to discuss key questions such as:

  • how institutional diversity shapes access and equity,
  • how higher education systems respond to changing labour markets,
  • how student and academic trajectories are evolving,
  • and how universities redefine their missions in an increasingly differentiated landscape.

Key topics include:

  • Economics and stratification of higher education
  • Labour market outcomes and heterogeneity of effects
  • Academic careers and institutional diversity
  • Student well-being and educational trajectories
  • Big data and analytics in higher education research
  • And other topics within higher education research (including an open track)

The call for abstracts is open until May 10, 2026.
