[Task Force] Webinar: “How to set up research projects for international collaborations”

ABSTRACT

International research collaborations often use approaches and methods from comparative education research. The essence of such collaborations lies in a shared academic interest or a common definition of a problem to be subjected to comparative analysis. The primary objective is to derive solutions to the problem, as defined by the participants, through international cooperation. At the project level, comparable or differentiating results – representing both similarities and differences – emerge as secondary outcomes. In the course of collaborative project work, intercultural challenges arise, which often only become apparent as the process unfolds. The webinar will explore both the theoretical and practical frameworks underpinning international cooperation in education and highlight the opportunities and potential risks associated with international comparative collaboration.
