On behalf of the WERA International Research Network ‘Exploring Global Curricular Representations and Teachers’ Enactment of Ancient and Indigenous Cultures and Wisdom Traditions‘, we warmly invite you to register for the 2026 Virtual Global Forum, ‘Reclaiming What Was Lost: Teaching & Learning Ancient and Indigenous Histories and Knowledges,‘ taking place online from March 14–16, 2026.
You can access the schedule here.
Hosted by the WERA IRN, in partnership with SESHAT (Global History Databank) and the Global Centre for Pluralism, this inaugural Forum creates a space to learn from educators, Elders, community leaders, artists, researchers, and organizers who are engaging ancient and Indigenous wisdom traditions in meaningful, ethical, and innovative ways.
This year’s Forum theme, “Educators’ Innovative Approaches and Experiences,” centres lived practice and relational learning. Across the three days, participants will hear from community leaders and educators who are reimagining teaching and learning in K–12, post-secondary, and community-based settings — drawing on ancient and Indigenous knowledges to foster balance, plurality, and more just educational futures.
Whether you are an educator, student, researcher, community member, or simply curious and eager to learn, we hope you will join us. The Forum is designed not only as a site of knowledge-sharing, but as a space for reflection, connection, and collective inquiry.
Registration is FREE and open to all! All are welcome!
Please see the poster below and visit the Forum website for more information about the purpose, objectives, and program details, as well as to register.

We would be grateful if you shared this invitation within your networks, and we look forward to learning together.
