Moving from an overview on the concepts of Inclusion (to allow equity filling the gap or special needs), inclusivity (the active state of being inclusive through an holist perspective) and Inclusiveness (the resulting environment after practicing or implementing inclusivity), the webinar from the WERA International Research Network IE-B-SW – Inclusive Excellence and Bienvivance from School to Work last 26 March 2025 delved into the emerging approach of Inclusive Excellence as a paradigm shift for VET. The presentation focused on the historical perspective of the different terms of inclusion and inclusivity were shared by Pr. Eric Dugas, Inspe-University of Bordeaux, from France, the theoretical and practical take-aways emerging from Pr. Benedicte Gendron’s research, from University of Montpellier Paul-Valéry, in France and Dr Paolo Nardi’s analysis from EFVET (European Forum of Vocational Education and Training, Brussels) on the GIVE-Governance Inclusive Vocational Excellence project.
