The World Education Research Association (WERA) is pleased to announce the addition of three new members to its global network: the Educational Studies Association of Ireland (ESAI) as an Association Member, and the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) from the United Arab Emirates and the Equitable Education Fund (EEF) from Thailand as Institutional Members.
These memberships were unanimously approved by the WERA Council during its recent meeting held on 28 April 2025 in Denver, Colorado, USA, in conjunction with the AERA Annual Meeting.
With ESAI joining, WERA’s network of Association Members now includes 29 educational research associations, highlighting the strength and diversity of collaborative educational research worldwide. The addition of SEA and EEF brings the number of Institutional Members to five, expanding WERA’s presence in key regions such as the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
We warmly welcome ESAI, SEA, and EEF to the WERA global community and we look forward to their active participation in advancing high-quality educational research worldwide. These new memberships underscore WERA’s ongoing growth and its role as a hub for international scholarly exchange.
