The World Education Research Association (WERA) warmly invites education researchers from around the world to submit their work for the WERA Congress 2027, taking place from 22–24 June 2027, with Pre-Conference Workshops on 21 June, at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain.
The 2027 WERA Congress is a unique global scientific gathering convened directly by WERA in Bilbao, Spain, and is only the 2nd WERA Congress in the 17-year WERA history. The WERA Congress brings together the worldwide education research community across countries, regions, disciplines, and research traditions and, unlike annual WERA Focal Meetings, is not hosted in partnership with WERA member associations.
Under the theme “Many Contexts, One Global Inquiry: Rethinking Education Research Together,” the Congress will create a global forum for diverse research traditions, methodologies, and perspectives to come into dialogue, advancing international, comparative, cross-cultural, and transnational research.
Researchers are invited to submit papers, posters, and symposia in English, Spanish, and Basque.
