On 1 July 2026, the World Education Research Association (WERA) marks an important leadership transition as we celebrate the contributions of our outgoing presidents and welcome our new President.
We extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to our Immediate Past President, Liesel Ebersöhn, and Past President, Bee Leng Chua, for their outstanding work, dedication, and invaluable contributions to WERA over many years in their respective leadership roles. Their service, commitment, and pursuit of excellence have played a pivotal role in shaping WERA’s growth, strengthening its global community, and advancing its mission. We are deeply grateful for their leadership and look forward to their continued involvement in the WERA family.
Today, we are also delighted to welcome Joe O’Hara, who officially begins his two-year term as WERA President. We wish Joe every success as he assumes this important role and are confident that WERA will continue to flourish under his exceptional leadership.
