The University of Pretoria Faculty of Education recently hosted a book launch at the Groenkloof Campus, where academics and guests gathered to celebrate new scholarly contributions to the field of education.
Among the featured publications was Transforming Educational Research: Realizing Equity and Social Justice Worldwide, published by Routledge and edited by Gonzalo Jover, Mustafa Yunus Eryaman, Ingrid Gogolin, and Liesel Ebersöhn, with Stephan Dippenaar.
Published under the auspices of the World Education Research Association (WERA), the book examines contemporary global challenges in education through four thematic clusters. These include educational strategies and practices that support conducive teaching and learning environments; socio-emotional dimensions that emphasise emotional well-being and cultural understanding; the complexities of higher education in relation to sustainability, digital transformation and academic publishing; and policy perspectives that explore the impact of globalisation and the implementation of learning theories in education systems worldwide.
