The WERA Doctoral and Early Career (DEC) Network recently held the first webinar last 12 November 2024 as part of the WERA Insights DEC Webinar Series, providing doctoral and early career researchers with practical advice on creating conference poster presentations. The webinar featured an international lineup of speakers with participants joining in from all over the globe.
Dr. Lisa Reed shared her insights on the BERA-WERA 2024 conference experience and the value of poster presentations. Participants also had the opportunity to see a fantastic conference poster presented by Paul Hodes. Adding a unique perspective, experienced judges Dr Ottavia Trevisan from ECER ERG and Dr Laura Camas from WERA DEC offered invaluable advice on what makes a successful poster presentation. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A moderated by Dr Marisa Leask, where participants engaged with the presenters, gaining practical tips on creating visually appealing, impactful and informative posters.
