On behalf of the World Education Research Association (WERA), we extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the recent earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Our thoughts are with the families who lost loved ones, those who were injured, and all who have been impacted by this devastating event.
As an international education organization, we understand the importance of coming together during times of crisis. We stand in solidarity with the people of Turkey and Syria, and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the first responders, emergency personnel, and volunteers who are working tirelessly to assist those in need. Also, we stand by the many students, families, and teachers who will have to bear the long-term impacts of this event as well as the disruption to education as a result.
