“The characters I record in my paintings are not products of the imagination; they are actually the result of a daily practice, observing the human element in its most distinct “existences”.
I understand my production space as being beyond the studio, when I’m on the street, at the market, on the sidewalks, I’m cataloging fragments, customs, habits in the urban plasticity in which we live.”
This commitment to capturing the nuances of everyday life gives Queiroz’s work a raw, authentic energy.
